Do you travel for photoshoots outside of the Richmond Area?
Absolutely! While I am based in Mechanicsville, I am happy to travel to your session location, corporate property, or your athlete’s home field or gym if my schedule allows.
What are the travel fees?
Local Zone: There is no travel fee for sessions located in Mechanicsville, the city of Richmond, or Midlothian.
Extended Zone: For sessions outside of those areas but within 50 miles (such as Short Pump, Glen Allen, or Chesterfield), a flat $40 travel fee is added to the session price.
Beyond Central VA: If you have a tournament, a commercial property, or a milestone event further away, please contact me for a custom quote! I’m happy to hit the road to meet your needs.
What happens if a game is cancelled or if weather is bad?
We know the weather can change in a heartbeat! If your outdoor game or portrait session is canceled or postponed due to rain, lightning, or unsafe conditions, there is never a rebooking fee.
For Game Day Coverage: If the game is rescheduled, we will simply move your booking to the new date (pending my availability). If I’m unavailable for the new date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.
For Portrait & Outdoor Sessions: If the forecast looks like a washout, we will touch base 2–4 hours before the session to make a "game-time decision" to move to a backup date.
Safety First: If the weather turns during an outdoor sports game and play is halted before the first half is over, I offer a prorated credit toward a future game so you still get the full value of your session.
Does this apply to indoor sports or indoor sessions?
While weather doesn't stop an indoor session, a gymnastics meet, or a cheer competition, life happens! If an athlete is sick, a business emergency arises, or an event is canceled by the venue, just let me know as soon as possible, and we will work together to find a future date that works.
Welcome! Photoshoots should be fun and stress-free. Once you book, we will collaborate on the vision, wardrobe, and timeline for your session. During the shoot, I will guide you or your athletes through natural poses and prompt action shots so you never have to worry about what to do with your hands. My goal is to make the entire process effortless and comfortable from start to finish. For youth sports and organizations, please note that I maintain up-to-date background clearances and safety certifications, ensuring a secure and professional environment for all participants.

Whether you are looking for an urban, architectural vibe in the city, a clean and professional setting for branding, or a scenic park with natural light, I have a curated list of preferred locations. When we discuss your session goals, I will provide tailored recommendations that perfectly match the aesthetic you want to achieve.

How do you handle team or large group photo days efficiently?
We pride ourselves on running a smooth, highly organized schedule that respects everyone's time. For large sports groups, high schools, or dance studios, we can utilize a specialized approach called composite photography.
Instead of gathering dozens of people together on traditional risers, we capture individual portraits of each athlete or team member. We then seamlessly combine these individual portraits into a single, cohesive team or group image using advanced digital editing software.
The Benefits: No one has to wait around in large crowds, scheduling blocks can be staggered throughout the day, and we can easily arrange individual make-up times if someone cannot make the main day. Plus, every single face is perfectly visible, crisp, and in focus—no more hidden faces in the back row!
What is the expected turnaround time for the digital files and prints?
Turnaround times can vary slightly depending on the peak season and the size of the project (such as an entire league vs. a single brand session). Generally, polished digital galleries are delivered through our online system within two weeks of the session or event date. From there, clients can immediately download their images or place print and merchandise orders directly through the gallery interface, with custom items shipped directly to their doorstep.
Are digital copies included, and can images be used for promotional purposes?
Digital delivery terms depend on your specific package choice. For organizations, booster clubs, or businesses booking team days or commercial branding, high-resolution digital files can be requested for promotional materials, website design, and printed programs. For personal or team-use promotions, we provide beautifully watermarked digital options, while final high-resolution retail products remain available for parent or individual purchase via the online gallery.
What kind of equipment do you use, and are the images edited?
We utilize professional-grade, high-speed digital camera bodies and specialized lenses tailored for crisp action sports, detailed real estate interiors, and professional branding portraits. We also carry full backup gear and utilize multi-card recording systems to ensure your milestones are safely protected. All images delivered receive custom color correction, brightness adjustments, and basic editing to ensure they look polished and vibrant. Additional advanced retouching is available upon request for portrait sessions.
